The Center for Accessible Knowledge and Expertise (CAKE) focuses on indigenous knowledge documentation in land and forest management, use and protection in mountainous areas.
CAKE is designed to meet the requirements and needs of poor ethnic minority people, researchers, policy makers, responsible press media, civil social organizations, lawyers and individuals those who really care for rights and benefits of forest-based communities. The development process of modernization and industrialization is diminishing ethnic minority communities’ traditional cultures which were built and practiced for hundreds of years.
CAKE is a source of information and knowledge products created by LISO Alliance during their living, working and being close with ethnic minority people since 1991 in different regions of Vietnam and the Mekong sub-regions.
We would like to introduce CAKE’s contents which focus on ethnic minority communities’ rights about sustainable forest management and forest use respecting customary laws, indigenous knowledge and traditional cultures.
