Institutional & Organizational Development
CIRUM strives to be an active professional organization in the field of land use rights for Ethnic Minorities (EM) in Vietnam. To accomplish that goal, CIRUM has continuously strengthened technical capacity, collaborated with state agencies and partners which share the same concerns, and worked closely with media, sponsors, and especially EM communities in different regions of Vietnam. The ultimate organizational activities act to support EM communities in acquiring their rights to forest land and to conserve and promote their forest-rooted cultures.
In order to achieve the above objective, CIRUM constantly enhances the professional capacity of its staff, improves the organizational working environment and considers effective linkages with communities, partners and donors.
Orientation for program activities between 2016 and 2018:
●       Organize and integrate the organization of training courses for capacity building, in-depth expertise, management and coordination of the program activities / projects for staff
●       Enhance organizational human resources with priority given to ethnic minorities and women
●       Maintain the organization's social media channels such as the website, Youtube and Facebook pages to introduce wider audience to CIRUM’s ongoing work and progress in policy advocacy
●       Develop communication products to further advocacy and fundraising efforts, including: reports, case-studies, posters, quarterly newsletters and videos
●       Encourage staff to advance their English level
●       Continue strengthening research skills and community development skills
●       Develop the Farmer Field Schools towards self-responsibility by being consistent with CIRUM’s orientation
