The Hmong ethnic group in Lung San village and the Nung ethnic group in Na Pa village perceive that natural resources (land, forest and water) are offered by Natural Spirits for survival. Therefore, respect for nature and forest protection are deeply embedded in each village member in order to bring a peaceful, prosperous and happy life to communities. Each community has its own sacred forests to worship the Spirits like Dong Chu and Dong Hau forests of the Nung in Na Pa village, and Nao Long and Thu Ty forests of the Hmong in Lung San village.
